Day 1: Overnight Flight

Join us on an adventure through the art, history and culture of Rome, "The Eternal City."

Day 2: Rome, Italy - Tour Begins

Your tour opens in Rome. You will be captivated by its old-world charm blending with its lively cosmopolitan energy. This evening, meet your fellow travelers for dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3: Rome

This morning you’ll come to know the history and traditions of ancient Rome on a locally guided tour. Take a walk through time at the Roman Forum, a former marketplace and main center of ancient Roman life. Imagine the energy of 80,000 spectators cheering during a visit to the Colosseum, once home to gladiatorial combat and wild animal fights dating back to the first century A.D. Spend time reflecting on the life of an emperor during a visit to Palatino Hill, the location of ruins of many former palaces. The remainder of the day is yours to explore as you choose.

Day 4: Rome

Discover the beauty of the sophisticated ancient art of mosaics. A local guide will lead you to some of Rome’s churches that are bursting with mosaic masterpieces. Gaze at amazing works of art in the Basilica di San Clemente, Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and Basilica di Santa Prassede. This afternoon, continue exploring Rome’s treasures during a guided visit to the Vatican Museums. You will be in awe of the opulence at the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica.

Day 5: Rome

The day is at leisure to relax, shop or explore the city. Rome is a fascinating city with many remarkable museums such as Capitoline Museum and Villa Borghese. You may decide to explore the Capuchin Crypt beneath the church of Santa Maria della Concezione, containing the skeletons of approximately 4,000 friars. Perhaps you will choose to learn the secrets of Roman cooking by partaking in an optional cooking class.

During your chef-led cooking class, learn how to prepare three types of pasta and follow it up with a delicious lunch.

Passport & Visa Information

Certain countries require a minimum of 6 months passport validity. You are strongly urged to contact the appropriate consulate for details.


We recommend that our clients travelling abroad take a photocopy of their passport and applicable visas. It should be packed separately from your actual passport and visa. We also recommend leaving a copy at home with your emergency contact.

Destination Facts & Stats


An adaptor (which changes the physical plug) and/or converter (which changes the electric current) are necessary if you plan to use an appliance with voltage different from the standard within the country you are visiting. Please note, if your appliance has dual voltage you may still need an adaptor for the plug. When packing your electronic items for travel, please review the converter electric current level to make sure it is the same or greater than the items you are planning on using. If you plan on utilizing or transporting a sleep apnea machine, please remember to pack an extension cord and adapter plug to ensure proper function.

Most shops and businesses in Italy are closed on Sundays and on national/religious holidays.

When reserving single accommodations, be advised that single rooms in Italy are often smaller in size.

Single accommodations are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis.

Some of the most unique sightseeing can mean accessing locations that restrict motorcoaches, especially in historic areas. For your comfort, we recommend bringing walking shoes. If you require a walker or wheelchair, or have difficulty walking, you may not be able to access some of these areas and may want to consider an alternate program with us. Our travel counselors can provide additional information or assistance to help you determine the perfect trip for you.

To complete your tour, we include roundtrip airport-to-hotel transfers when purchasing Marriott Vacation Club airfare with your tour. If you have arranged for your own air, we are pleased to provide you the option of purchasing these transfers. Please note that all transfers will leave at prescheduled times.

Please be advised many airlines do not provide advance seat assignments until check-in at the airport. Advance seating will be subject to the airline's terms and conditions.
